## MSP Diesel

### About the Company

MSP Diesel is a distributor in the diesel parts and service industry, supported by an outside CRM agency that manages its sales operations strategy. Its outside sales team spends much of its time in the field, making in-person visits with customers across the community it serves.

**Industry:** Distribution

### Challenge

MSP Diesel's outside sales reps worked heavily in the field, but their CRM only told part of the story. Order history and customer activity lived in the company's ERP, so reps either had to call back to the office or wait until they were at a desk to look up details a customer needed answered on the spot. Information often had to be typed into both systems separately, creating duplicate work that slowed down day-to-day selling. There was also a gap around pay visibility. Sales reps are compensated based on what they sell, but the CRM only showed revenue, not the margin dollars and percentage that actually determine their commission. Without that data surfacing automatically, reps had no way to track what they were going to be paid without going around accounting to ask.

### Solution

Commercient connected MSP Diesel's ERP to HubSpot, giving the sales team a single source of truth for customer and order information. With the sync in place, outside sales reps can pull up a customer's account in HubSpot before an in-person visit and immediately see recent order history, including exactly what was purchased and when, so they can walk in and ask informed questions rather than guessing. The integration is now being expanded to bring cost-of-goods data into HubSpot as well, layering margin dollars and percentage on top of existing revenue figures. This piece wasn't part of the original setup, but it directly answers what reps said they needed most: visibility into the numbers tied to their own paychecks. Throughout the project, Commercient worked within MSP Diesel's strict ERP security protocols, which gave the company's IT team confidence in the integration.

### Results

By syncing ERP data into HubSpot, MSP Diesel's sales reps no longer have to enter the same information into two disconnected systems, cutting out roughly 50% of the time previously spent on duplicate data entry. Outside sales reps now show up to customer visits already armed with recent order history, making field conversations more informed and personal. The expanded sync, now moving over a quarter of a million records, brings margin data into HubSpot so reps can see a report each morning showing the revenue and margin tied to their compensation, removing the need to track that information down through accounting. MSP Diesel's IT team was also impressed that Commercient built the integration to work within their existing security protocols. Looking ahead, the team sees an opportunity to let outside sales reps generate quotes directly in HubSpot, cutting down the time between a customer conversation and a finished quote.

> Besides the data just being in HubSpot, and it's sourcing from a single source of truth, there's benefit in that alone.

> That was one thing that they were impressed with you guys on, is how we were able to do the sync within their security protocols.
